About Charmaine Joy Clements

I'm a ceramicist, researcher and creative practitioner based in Cardiff, Wales. I'm the founder and director of Just Be You Intervention CIC, an organisation I set up because I believe creativity is one of the most powerful tools we have for reaching people, building resilience, and making change that lasts.
I have a BA (Hons) in Ceramics from Cardiff Metropolitan University and an MA in Arts Practice (Arts, Health and Wellbeing) from the University of South Wales, which I completed with Merit. My work sits at the intersection of art, research and social purpose.
Just Be You isn't an arts and crafts business. Every programme I design is evidence-informed, responds to a real identified need, and includes evaluation so the organisations I work with can show what changed.

My work can involve identifying a need, researching it, designing a creative intervention, delivering it, gathering feedback, evaluating outcomes and producing evidence that organisations can use. I work with children, young people, adults and older adults across schools, housing associations, community organisations and supported living settings.
I hold an Enhanced DBS and have extensive experience working within safeguarding environments.
